The Teaser
After the feed back on my film, i have reshot the whole film. Sticking to the location, hand held, and the camera man being the victim, the changes i have made is making it much longer, adding text, ('this year' and so on) and my killer. As well as changing the teaser, i have sort of worked out a working title 'The Outcasts', idea of people living in the country are crazed pscopaths that kill people who trespas their land. I got the idea from my friends making jokes about how my grand-dad (a farmer) would shoot them for being on the his land. It is clear that from other horror movies people beilve that all farmers own a gun and like to shoot at people. I have bent this idea to a crazed shadow figure attacking students with a sword. In the the teaser it is in a chase/stalck scene where a surviour is being hunted down. I done this by having the killer follow the victim but where the camera turns, the killer moves away from it at the same time, so the audience can never see the killer before its too late. The 'shink' sword like sound in the teaser is completly diegetic, i made it by sliding the sword along it, then quickly moving away from the gate befor the victim turns around (this took a little practise). With the added pause texts the teaser is quite effective, in the way you have to watch the whole thing, keeps you 'hocked' in. Also i have managed to give the idea that it is a horror and its based in the countryside, without givng too much information away, (much like a real teaser). Me and my co-directors did have other ideas, such as have the killer quickly dash behind the bush, only allowing the audience to have seen the killer. This didn't work as we needed the victim to turn around quickly, and in that time the killer would of had to make the 'shink' noice and dash behind the bush, which we found to be impossible. I wanted to edit the teaser as little as posible to to keep it looking 'real', the only editing is the text, and a upped the colour temp because originaly very dull and bright, upping the colour temp gave it more 'life' and the idea that nothing bad can happen during the day is challenged.
New tech
The kind of new tech i have used is basicly all the film tools on the mac such as I movie, I DVD, and even a newish presentation website called prezi.
Prezi=
- Difficulty: slightly tricky at first but it gets realy easy to use quickly.
- Advantages: a realy cool way to show of any kind of presentaiton and is easy to link onto a blog. It is also completly free and no downloads needed.
- Disadvantage: not so limitless as it claims, as affter a few twists and 360s, it slows the cmputer down alot and doesnt let you do very much else to your work.
The point of prezi for people to share, like and few other people's work, such as presentaions, ideas, facts, pretty much anything. Its diffrent from your advrage powerpoint as it alows you to flash, turn and spin around the texts. It is done by having your texts dotted around the screan, differnt sizes and angles for best result, and linking them with the 'paths' tool. This means affter you are finished, when you view it and hit the play like button, it takes you on your rollercoster spining ride which is your work.

Representation
My target audiene for both my print and teaser, i thought it would be an idea talk about how they are being represented in the 'real' media world.
As far as the news is concernd, 'teens' trouble making criminals. They represented teens to be 'bad' by only informing the audience about gang fights and stabings which involve teens. It has been said that there is a majoir lack of good news stories about teens, the way i and a postmodernist see's it, is that a story about a goody teen helping people isnt..... 'entertaining'. The news programs get far more ratings with a story about a gang fight, also that the news constantly injects the viewer with the storys about teens being bad, that it has almost become second nature to rhe audinece to think a teen is a trouble maker. It also impacts the tv, because now the storys has influcend programs such as Skins, to protray teens in a bad sence. And the audince is being exosed to both bad tv teens and bad news teens. Such shows as Jamie's dream school claims to want to help these 'no hope for a future' teens, all the audience wants to see the teens fight with the teachers or themselves.
